You Gotta Be Kiddin' Me
Ask people if what you are doing to help them do business with you is actually helping them to do business with you and they'll tell you. The performance of PBE's Powder Show™ Preview magazine reveals your material support plays a vital role in generating traffic to your booth.
A valuable guide
After the show is over, we survey the target market attendees (attendees who come from within a 300-mile radius of the show) for their input and suggestions on PBE's Powder Show Preview and how well it performed for them. Last year's results verifies the magazine's value for the attendee as well as an solid vehicle for exhibiting companies to improve traffic to their exhibits.
Summary of results
Question: "Yes or No, did you find PBE's 2013 Powder Show™ Preview magazine helpful in aiding your decision to attend the expo?"

          YES = 81.3%
The significance of this overwhelming positive response increases when the survey respondents list the main magazine features that most helped in their decision to attend. The role the exhibitor plays with this audience is undeniable.

Top 5 Preview features:
  • 85.7% – List of exhibitors
  • 63.3% – Exhibit floor plan
  • 59.2% – Technical workshop descriptions
  • 46.9% – Exhibited equipment section
  • 32.7% – Registration detail
Other surveyed features included Hotels, Restaurants, What To Do in Columbus, and Workshop Presenter biographies.
The point of the survey is simply this: Attendees rely on the preview to learn about your company and find you at the show. PBE’s Powder Show™ Preview hits the market one month prior to the show and positioning your company in the magazine pays off big time.

Tips to Slash Exhibit Expenses
Exhibiting in New Jersey, as in other major industrial locations, can be challenging in a number of ways, not the least of which involves your company checkbook. Freeman Exhibition Services offers suggestions to help you keep a lid on the costs.
  1. Ship On-Time – Schedule shipment of your display materials and equipment to arrive at the warehouse no sooner than one month (August 15, 2014) prior to the show and no later than September 9, 2014. Doing this saves you last minute rush and the extraordinary expense involved with "Express" shipment while avoiding additional after-deadline charges at the warehouse.
  2. Self Set-Up & Dismantling – Minimize the cost of union personnel involvement by understanding and following the rules. For 100 sq. ft. exhibits, accomplish set-up within ½ hour; use no tools in display assembly; your set-up personnel should be full time employees of your company and carry verifying identification.
  3. Use the Proper Form – Handling crates, drums and pallet loads of stuff from the loading dock to your booth comes involves one of two forms: The Material Handing form and Machinery Handling form. The rates for each differ and you’ll save substantially when you use the Machinery Handling form to cover the drayage expense for your displayed equipment.
  4. Order Labor Assistance in Advance – If you know you’ll need help onsite to erect your display, suspend signage, lay carpet, etc., depending on the type of assistance you require you can save 23% or more ordering it ahead of time.
  5. Order Booth Carpet & Furnishings by August 26, 2014 – August 26 is the Advance Order discount deadline date. After that date your rental rates for everything increase by 23% or more.
